Lenten Suppers

During the five Wednesday evenings in Lent, we assemble in Jung Hall for supper, followed by the Holden Evening Prayer service with readings chosen on the theme of “Shadows of the Cross” following Jesus’ journey to the Cross.

At 6:00 p.m., our evening together begins with a meal prepared by one of the Cluster Groups, which are included in the weekly bulletin. If you don’t see your name, please call the church office (734-9268) and leave a message. We want to include everyone!

While there is no charge for the meals, we have suggested a contribution of $5.00 per family ($2.50 for an individual) for each supper you attend. Each cluster is responsible for providing one meal.

Vespers will begin after the meal and end by 7:30 p.m.

Cluster meetings and supper dates are listed in the bulletin. Meetings will be held in the church parlor following worship on Sunday mornings. Each cluster is responsible for:
– Planning supper
– Setting up Jung Hall
– Collecting monies from attendees
– Giving any monies left after expenses to the next cluster group
– Cleaning up the kitchen and Jung Hall
