Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield to hold annual meeting Mar. 8

The annual congregational meeting of Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield will take place Sunday, Mar. 8, 2009, immediately following the 9:30 a.m. worship service.

It will include reports from Church Council members and a special presentation from the visioning team. Child care will be provided and lunch will be served following the meeting. All members of Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield and anyone in the community interested in learning about the missions of Grace are encouraged to attend.

Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield to kick off annual Lenten suppers

Throughout Lent, Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield will hold a simple supper on Wednesday evenings. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the meal will be followed by a brief holden evening prayer service, lasting about 30 minutes, focusing on The Lord’s Prayer.

The first of these Wednesday evening events takes place this week, Mar. 4. While there is no charge for the meals, a contribution of $5.00 per family ($2.50 for individuals) is requested. (Members have been assigned to a cluster group; each cluster group is responsible for one meal.)
