This Satudray, April 24, 2010, Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield will hold it’s annual Vendors Showcase at the Mittineague Congregational Church, 1840 Westfield St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Some of the vendors represented will include: Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Avon, What a Find Jewelry, The Nic Nac Shak, Mia Bella Candles, Yoli Blast Caps, Owens Corning, The Proud Peacock, Silpada Jewelry Thirty-One Gifts, It’s a Girl Thing, Blessings Jewelry, Jafra, Beauty by Jennique, items from Fair Trade and many more.
 
There will also be authentic handbags and accessories and high quality clothing including Columbia, Champion, Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, Apples and Oranges, and Adidas in sizes from infant, and teens extra small to 4XL at greatly reduced prices.
 
A light lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, soft drinks and desserts will be on sale starting at 11 a.m..  For more information about any of these vendors or to get their product, please stop in and check us out.

Smith College student to talk of life in Tanzania, Uganda

Visit Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield this Sunday to hear tales about life in the African countries of Tanzania and Uganda.

All are welcome to hear Julie Olson, a Smith College Student who spent hear junior year abroad in Africa, discuss African life immediately following 9:30 a.m. worship (approximately 10:30 a.m.). In the fall of 2008, Olson studied at the University of Dar Es Salaam, in the capital of Tanzania, and in the spring of 2009 she studied in Uganda.

Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield sponsors the education of students in Arusha, Tanzania through the Mission of Hope program.

One more volunteer needed for April’s ‘Operation Sonshine’

Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield is looking for one more volunteer to participate in April’s Operation Sonshine event this Saturday, April 17, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The opportunity involves delivering and serving meals to the hungry at the Springfield Rescue Mission.
