Pastor White

Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield welcomed the Rev. William M. (Bill) White as its Interim Pastor as of Jan. 16, 2012.

Pastor White has nearly three decades of pastoral experience. Following graduation from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia with Masters in Divinity degree, he accepted his first call with St. Paul Lutheran Church in Proctor, Vermont. He later spent 20 years serving churches in Connecticut, including 12 years as pastor of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester, Conn.

Most recently Pastor White served as transitional pastor for St. Mark Lutheran Church in Glastonbury, Conn. Previously he served as transitional pastor for Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Willimantic, Conn.

Pastor White has served many different roles on public service committees, including with the Manchester Area Conference of Churches, as hospice chaplain, high school basketball coach and lots of work in the regional & national church in the areas of hunger, youth, evangelism and support of young leaders. He is blessed with two adult daughters, Caitlin and Hillary.
