Children of Grace support God’s Global Barnyard

Grace Lutheran Church West Springfield is pleased to announce that its Sunday school children have received “barn” coin boxes that they assembled to take home.
Your donations support God’s Global Barnyard, the animal projects of ELCA world hunger. All of the animals in God’s Global Barnyard help families in need. The barns will be turned in on Sunday, December 23, the day of the Christmas pageant. An animal can make a world of difference to a family in need. Animals provide food to eat, fertilizer to grow crops and offspring to sell on the market. Our gifts can help families escape the cycle of hunger and poverty for good.
ELCA World Hunger responds to the root causes of hunger with work in 60 countries around the world, including the US. Cornerstones of this work include hunger education, advocacy and projects focused on agriculture, livestock, water, health care and job training to help people life themselves out of hunger and poverty for the long term. Between 70-75 percent of ELCA World Hunger funds are spent internationally, and 20-25 percent are spent domestically.
